This also allows a wider audience of art lovers to purchase fine art original quality works in limited editions at considerably lower prices than  traditional "one off" hand-painted originals.

I initially turned to art from ultamarathon running. Not long after 9/11, I was hospitalised in NYC with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (after an initial misdiagnosis) resulting in hearing loss, and severe tinnitus.  Art seemed the best way to keep my mind from focusing on the annoying, noise-reactive tinnitus.

Since 2003 I've been involved in art in one way or another. My influences include Amedeo Modigliani, Marcel Duchamp, Picasso, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Damian Hirst, Tracy Emin, Illma Gore, Ai Weiwei and Banksy. My artistic influences also extend to music and I find inspiration in the music of Sia, Katie Noonan, Hip Hop, Trance, and progressive art rock bands such as Yes, Pink Floyd, Unitopia and UPF.

I enjoy creating art that is confronting; art that challenges the "conditioned" social values and norms in religion, culture and politics. I also enjoy playing with colour and creating abstract art purely for beauty's sake. I don't place limitations on art or the means of creating it and I'm open to all genres.

James A Sheridan

I began painting as a muralist while living in New York during the 80's and 90's. After moving back to Australia (Dec, 2001) I studied   drawing, painting, mixed media,  sculpture and installation art, in a Diploma of Visual Arts at TAFE, Cairns, Queensland  (2006). A few years after returning to Perth I continued my studies at Curtin University, WA (Bach  Communications and Visual Arts 2008-2010).

Photography is my second love and I enjoy painting with light. I'm really into abstract time-lapse photography. I've  also included travel phone pics of the people I've met and their cultural environments during occasional travel.

In the last decade the methods for creating art have changed significantly. The invention of the French 'Giclee' ("jee-clay") method of printing opened the floodgates for digital artists (like myself) to have their work reproduced in the fine art quality standards accepted by the world's most renown art museums.
